plastic mold – cooling system review

  Cooling system is system that use air, water, oil,… to remove heat of the products during the molding process before products were ejected out of the mold. The products could be removed from the mold at temperatures up to 50C or more. The cooling phase can be up to 80% of the overall cycle.

2. Equipment use for cooling system.

2.1: Pressure plugs:  use to lock or control flow of fluids in cooling channel.

 2.3: Cascade water junction: use to down heat of insert core or difficult for design cooling channel area.

2.4 Bubbler tube: use to down heat of insert core.

 2.5. Baffle or spiral baffle: drilling holes into 2 parts.

2.6. Thermal pin. use to down heat of insert core or slide core
